June 22

This solstice passed overnight, so I guess it's summer and time for biking?

We were lucky to get a drop off at the top, for a sessions mtn ride. Looks like there's a little snow in the future.

At the end of the mtn road, beginning of the great western trail, we encountered snow. Trying to avoid it was useless.

We eventually portaged the bikes up the first climb, about 600 vertical feet.

No further snow was encountered on the trail with wildflowers blooming. Grandview in the background, still holding snow.

The swallow rock section was buff single track for several miles.

Making the portage at the start seem almost worth it.

On the shoulder of Lookout, with a view of the Wasatch.

It's 19 miles of down, from there to Millie's and a double cheeseburger.
